The one and only excursion we did was the "Luxury Sunset Cruise" with Cabo Adventures. Unlike their day-time cruise, you do not snorkel and this was at sunset- which was perfect for us! You are served with a lovely appetizer meal which included a variety of dinner rolls and crackers, guacamole and chips, tuna salad, fresh fruit tart, meat and cheese spread, jalapeno poppers, potato casserole, caprese salad and champagne with open bar. I highly recommend booking with this sunset cruise!

10 REASONS WHY I LOVE TRAVELING WITH MY WIFE :

People travel differently. One of those differences is the preference on who we travel with.
Some always love to travel with a group, like with their family or friends. Travels like these are filled with laughter, fun and a plethora of groupie pics and jump shots. Not to mention that if you are a dependent, then you get to travel for free! Paid of course by your parents. 🙂
Some like to travel solo. Whether it be soul searching, finding oneself, an escape from reality, independence, looking for love or you’re just so much into travel that none of your buddies can’t go with you anymore due to lack of funds or leaves or both. I haven’t tried solo traveling myself, but I have so much respect to the dudes/dudettes that does this. It just means they have the courage and they trust themselves very much. Wish I can try this sometime.
10 Reasons Why I Love Traveling With My Wife
Some people like to travel with their significant other – their girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife. The nice thing about this is it’s like a big date where you get to know each other, discover things you don’t know about your partner or for some, rekindle the lost romance in their relationships. In my case, since I’m married and we still have no kids yet, I usually travel with my wife. We have the same passion for food and travel but never on shopping. The good thing is, my wife knows how to budget money and just buy cheap finds in the market.
In this article, I’m listing ten reasons Why I love traveling with my wife. These are all based on my experience, and I hope you can find inspiration or ideas on this list.

10 REASONS WHY I LOVE TRAVELING WITH MY WIFE

1. SHE HANDLES THE BUDGET.

Every month, we set aside a certain amount for our travel fund. And every time we travel, my wife takes care of that travel fund and makes sure that everything we spend is on the budget. We put aside a certain amount for a particular expense like shopping, so we don’t go overboard with our budget. By adhering to this simple rule, we even have enough money left to add to our travel fund for our next destination. She even counts our money every night just to make sure we still have enough for the next few days of travel.
And since my wife knows how to handle money (like me), I don’t have to worry about losing our entire fund or going over the limit with our credit card. We even discuss if a particular item should be bought and if we need it. There are control and good communication every time we travel especially on the budget.

2. YOUR CLOTHES AND THINGS ARE AUTOMATICALLY IN ORDER.

I suck at packing things. I just fold my clothes a little bit, put some things in plastic and then pack it in the bag in a disorderly fashion. Good thing my wife knows how to efficiently pack things. Being an OFW in the Middle East for seven years, she sure knows how to put those things in order even in the most difficult of scenarios. Even up to now, I’m still amazed at how she manages to do it (or do I just really suck?).
So whenever we travel, I let her do the task of packing things. Besides, we always pack light especially for long trips since we can just buy some clothes to our destination.

3. WE HAVE THE SAME PASSION FOR FOOD.

This is one of the most exciting things we do when we travel; eat! We are both adventurous when it comes to food and we’d like to try anything that looks yummy. We even have this technique not to buy the same dish or a pair of street food but rather buy two different ones so we can have a taste of both!
My wife also loves to cook (and pretty good at it) and whenever we set foot in a foreign country, we make sure we don’t miss going to the local market or grocery for some authentic ingredients and spices. Then back home, when we crave for a certain dish, you know that it’s time to prepare and bring out the ingredients! We don’t need to go to a restaurant for that craving, and it saves us time and money.

4. YOU SHARE CRAZY, FUN, QUIRKY MOMENTS TOGETHER.

Oh my, now this is the part I love the most when traveling together. You get to share those crazy moments.
Traveling is not just going from one place to another, sight-seeing or doing extreme activities. You also get to enjoy it with the company you’re with. And most of the time, there will be bloopers just like in a T.V. show. Those moments are what makes traveling so much fun!
Moments like:
You tried different poses and made fun of the wax figures in Madame Tussauds? Funny!
You duck walked inside the Cu chi tunnels when it is not even required to do so and your legs were all aching after? Funny!
You got stung by a sea urchin and you used your piss to self-medicate? Not so funny back then, but hey, it’s funny now!

5. THERE WERE NO EMBARRASSING MOMENTS.

This is a follow-up to item 4 that needs to have its own space in the list.
I remember a time when we were in Chatuchak Market in Bangkok. We were just having a simple lunch when all of the sudden, I farted. Yes, it’s like a one and a half second part with sounds. And I didn’t do it intentionally. In all honesty, I didn’t expect to fart… and I didn’t expect it to be loud lol. So we looked at each other, trying to contain our laughter then looked behind our shoulders if someone else noticed or heard about it.
After going out the place, we just bursted out laughing our ass out. I was a little embarrassed if someone else heard it (or worst smelled it), but I was not embarrassed that my wife noticed it. Of course, she is my wife why would I?! I can even pick my nose in front of her for all I care.
10 Reasons Why I Love Traveling With My Wife

6. YOU KNOW THAT YOU’RE SAFE WITH EACH OTHER.

When we travel, one of our most important concerns is security. We buy insurances (some are required), safe protect our credit cards, bring first aid kits, note emergency numbers or just stay away from places we deem unsecured. These are all good practices but once we are out there, we still need someone who can protect us immediately from any harm.
Besides those safety precautions, when you are with someone who you trust your life with, there’s already an assurance that you will be safe. My wife and I can protect ourselves and each other very well and won’t let any of us be in any harm. My wife is a strong woman and is not a push over so she can be tough when needed. We know that we can always depend on each other.

7. THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS COLD NIGHTS.

When the day is done, and the parties are over, you’re sure that the night doesn’t end there and you’re not alone in your bed. You will lay down with the warmth of your wife’s embrace, her kisses and even talk about your wonderful day and what is to be expected for tomorrow. To spark more romance, you can even setup a candle light dinner with a bottle of wine. For the budget conscious (like us), a can of beer and a bag of unknown snack or chichirya is fine as long as you’re having a good time together.
This is one of the most cherished memories you will ever have when you travel with your significant other. You don’t have to worry about anything. No words can describe the priceless moment when you look at each other and just talk about your adventures or gaze upon the stars. The key is just to enjoy each other when you travel. Don’t let bad vibes or misadventures hinder your relationship.
10 Reasons Why I Love Traveling With My Wife

8. YOU STRENGTHEN YOUR FRIENDSHIP, NOT JUST YOUR MARRIED LIFE.

We all know some couples that after some years of marriage, they just got cold with each other and the never ending nagging begins. All they say is, “The moment we have our kids, there’s just no time to spend with each other” Or “We are both working and focused on our career. The time we got home, we’re just too spent to do some leisure time”. I wish I can send these couples for a South East Asia backpacking tripfor two weeks (Which we were planning to do next year by the way)!
For us, traveling is a way to strengthen not just our marriage but build our everlasting friendship together. Let’s face it, when we grow old, there are lots of things we can’t do anymore, like have sex. So what remains? Companionship. Friendship. These things are forever. For a marriage to last long, you must be the best of friends! Someone who’s there through thick and thin and would not just give you half-assed advice, but point out your faults outright for you to change for the better. Now that’s a real friend!

9. YOU GET TO KNOW YOURSELF AND EACH OTHER MORE.

The reason why many travelers like to go solo is they want to go soul searching and know themselves. They want to think of things that they can only do if they were isolated.
This is also true when you travel with your significant other, especially if you’re married. Sometimes you also get to know the bad side of each other which I think is ok because you get to know yourself that it paved the way for self-improvement. It just takes someone to the point that out to you.
My wife is not adventurous to some activities like hiking, biking or anything that demands intense physical effort. But when time comes that she has no choice but to do it, then she unwillingly does it. Of course, she did it with my constant cheering and motivation. Afterward, she feels relieved and proud of herself because she did something that she didn’t know she is capable of doing. That’s the advantage of having someone motivate you because sometimes all you need is just a little push.

10. YOU KNOW IT’S A SWEET RIDE WHEN YOU TAKE A LOOK BACK AT YOUR PHOTOS.

Marriage is a lifetime commitment. You commit yourself to that one person for your entire life. Once you are married, there’s no turning back, well, at least in the Philippines.
And what better way to spend that forever with your partner than traveling? When you are both old and grumpy, the moment you take a look back at your old travel photos/videos, all you can do is smile, maybe shed a tear and reminisce the moments of those awesome travels you both had when you were young. Those are the moments you knew that you lived a life with no regrets and you spent those precious times with the love of your life. No money or things can ever buy that.

It’s always nice to read travel quotes because it pushes you to pack your bags and explore the world. There’s something about the wise words that triggers one to leave their comfort zones. But wouldn’t it be more fun to take on a journey around the globe with the one you love? That’s for certain!  Don’t you think?
Why should I travel with my partner?
Most of us know that traveling can improve our perspectives in life. It is safe to say that it is your ticket to your better selves.  Now, if you are traveling with someone else, chances are –  you would grow together, making your bond stronger than ever.
While some people will still choose to travel on their own because of its apparent advantages, being with someone you love has its perks too. You can split the travel expenses, for crying out loud!  🙂 But kidding aside, if you are still having doubts of traveling together with your partner, then perhaps these travel quotes should keep you both on the road.
Make sure you read these together and I’m pretty sure you would be booking your flights right away.
